          returned to Madison In the late 90s, after having had significant success in the Twin Cities music scene. In Minneapolis, he played famous venues including the Guthrie Theater, First Avenue Nightclub, the Uptown club, The Cabooze , and many more. Upon his return, Bill began playing weekly with Clyde Stubblefield, of James Brown fame, at the legendary King's Club off the Capitol Square, which was to continue for some time.

*Blues guitar great Luther Allison was an early mentor
*Midwest Regional King of The Blues winner, Guitar Center
*Best Americana Band, Minnesota Music Awards hosted by Doc Severson
*One of Bill's tunes was used on the soundtrack of the ABC TV show One Tree Hill
*Involvement in a Prince music project in Minneapolis that was ultimately unused
*Received the keys to Albuquerque New Mexico, for a song he wrote.
*Was involved with several Pat McDonald (of Timbuk 3 fame) projects
*Played with Spooner, with producer Butch Vig of Garbage fame

*Voted best electric guitarist in the Madison Area by MAMA

*His CD Blues Rides Shotgun was recognized as blues record of the year by MAMA
